Reaching out to our community

Our aim is to help to help members put Christian love into action in our local communities. We do this in a number of ways.

• We organise an outreach programme that provides clothing, food and other supplies to the homeless, disadvantaged and the elderly in and around Croydon and central London. Find out how you can get involved here.
• We organise an Annual Dinner for the senior citizens in the church and community to bring people together.
• In the summer months we arrange a day trip to the sea side for socialising and getting to know each other.
• In addition, we hold fundraising events to help overseas missions and give relief to disaster zones.

We want each member to be empowered by the Holy Spirit so that they can make a difference in the lives of others. We believe in showing Christ­‐like love and compassion as we follow the divine prescription based on Isaiah 58. It is also our hope to revive a day centre previously run at Croydon SDA, so that by God’s grace we can this can put Christian love into action in the local community and follow the example of Jesus’ ministry by recognising the importance of mee6ng people’s prac6cal and material needs before addressing their spiritual needs.
