Our Worship

Worship at Croydon SDA

There are many different ways to worship God. Music, prayer, singing praises and Bible study are some of the ways we can honour God. We can do this at a personal level or meet together with fellow believers.

The main focus of our worship is to glorify and honour God, as our creator and friend, and help and encourage each other in our daily life. As Christians we are called to set an example and follow the teachings of the Bible.

At Croydon SDA Church we begin our Sabbath (Saturday) service at 9:30am with Sabbath School (similar to the Sunday Schools of other denominations).  Sabbath School members engage in group Bible study, outreach, and the worship of God through music.

The main service, (also known as ‘Family Worship’) involves the preaching of the Word (sermon). This begins at 11:15 a.m. and ends at about 1:15 p.m.  The order of service is similar to that in most other Protestant churces and culminates with the preaching of the Word.

We also hold a midweek prayer meeting on Wednesdays at 7:30pm. Find out more here.
